Honing rods are great for finely polishing and realigning your edge. Our ceramic rods are a harder material than typical steel rods or “steels” and have a finer grit for putting a finer edge on your knife. These rods are meant to be used in between sharpening, they do not replace sharpening all-together.
Advantages: Can quickly polish a slightly-dull edge. Produces a better edge than a traditional steel rod.
Disadvantages: Only for honing, not for sharpening.
